Quezon City — World Citi Medical Center (WCMC) successfully launched its War on Waste Project on February 14, 2025, at the Executive Lounge, WCMC Building.
The initiative aims to reduce waste, promote eco-friendly practices, and integrate sustainable strategies into daily hospital operations.
The event was attended by Department Heads and Section Heads, who participated in a seminar on waste management and workplace safety awareness.
The session highlighted strategies for minimizing plastic and paper use, proper waste disposal, and the importance of adopting eco-friendly alternatives.
To support the War on Waste Project, employees are encouraged to take simple yet impactful steps in their daily routines:
1.) Bring Your Own – Use reusable bottles, cups, and utensils instead of disposable ones.
2.) Use Eco-Friendly Products – Opt for biodegradable or compostable items whenever possible.
3.) Take Your Trash Home – Bring small trash bags and dispose of personal waste properly.
4.) Reduce Paper Use – Shift to digital documents and communications instead of printed materials.
5.) Educate and Advocate – Spread awareness about the importance of waste reduction and encourage sustainable practices.
The War on Waste Project is part of WCMC’s broader Eco-Action Program, which seeks to create a greener, more sustainable workplace.
