18TH GRADUATION CEREMONIES OF WORLD CITI MED’S RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAM

“Meeting the Challenges in Healthcare Thru Innovation” was the theme of the 18th graduation ceremony of Batch 2017 composed of 15 Resident Doctors from the Departments of Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Radiology.

This marks another milestone in World Citi Medical Center, proof of the institution’s commitment in maintaining the hospital’s accreditation for its residency training program from accrediting bodies Philippine College of Physicians, Philippine Pediatric Society, Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecology Society and Philippine College of Radiology.

In her personal message to the graduating residents, Medical Director Margarita Santella-Jara, MD, FPOGS, said that the residents were blessed to have been prepared well for their sub-specialties by their consultants coupled with overwhelming support by management from beginning, fruition and conclusion of their residency training. Said consultants are kept abreast with the challenges of re-accreditation with the different sub-specialties which has become stringent with the passage of time. Management has likewise prepared them academically and spiritually.

On the graduation theme, Dr. Jara said World Citi Med has always been part of the bandwagon of change through the vision and dedication of the hospital’s board of trustees placing the hospital on the path to becoming a preferred tertiary center for healthcare, realizing its mission to deliver quality care in partnership with its consultants. This same partnership opened a mutual venture between the board of trustees and the consultants in its equipment ventures. Dr. Jara closed her personal message with an open invitation to the graduating residents to become part of the hospital staff, to practice and fill sub-specialties to complete the hospital’s services.

During his turn at the podium, Guest Speaker Pastor Manric Tan Pascual of Horizon Ministries advised them to look forward as the best is yet to come.
